Cake with carob, almonds and milk kefir


If you're looking for a juicy, delicious dessert full of fragrance, look no further! You've found it! This cake is all you need for an easy times with coffee or tea. Drizzle it with melted dark chocolate, add your favorite fruit and the "me-time" can begin. I selected strawberries this time! What fruit(s) will you choose?



Ingredients and preparation steps
  • 100 g ground carob

  • 100 g ground almonds

  • 200 ml of milk kefir

  • 100 ml of melted butter

  • 2 tablespoons of hones

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon

  • 1 baking powder

The amount of ingredients is sufficient for a 19 cm diameter cake pan.

Preheat the oven to 175 °C.

Coat the cake pan with butter and place the baking paper on the bottom.


First, whisk the eggs and honey, add the kefir and slightly chilled butter then add the other ingredients. Whisk everything into a uniform mixture. Pour the mixture into the cake mold and bake for about 40 minutes (depending on the strength of your oven) or until the toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out dry. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate and garnish with strawberries.
